James Darling
Solutions Architect
James is a technology consultant, developer, and software architect who brings 7 years of experience working with enterprise systems. He specializes in the Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Azure cloud platform, and .NET API development. He has presented on leveraging low-code platforms and API’s for governments and the public sector.
James spent over three years at Microsoft Federal, primarily serving the Department of Veterans Affairs by designing, building, and deploying systems to assist veterans in accessing benefits and healthcare. He holds Microsoft expert certifications as a Power Platform Architect, and associate certifications as a Power BI Data Analyst, Azure AI Engineer, and Azure Developer.
James has worked with homeless services agencies and shelters around Dallas to build client solutions in the Power Platform and leverage technology to help fight homelessness. He currently serves as a Technology Committee member for Austin Street Center and advises several other shelters on automating processes and selecting software.
James attended Oklahoma State University where he studied Industrial Engineering and Management. James served as the president of the student chapter of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers and president of Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity. He also received the Wentz Research Grant to develop a digital evidence management system for rural police departments.
James enjoys volunteering and serving in the community. He is a board member at Temple Shalom in Dallas and president of their Brotherhood. He has also served as the philanthropy advisor to the Oklahoma State University chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi and worked as a musician for Parkinson Voice Project, an organization providing music therapy to Parkinson’s patients.
